Work permit in Russia for highly qualified specialists

Dear Clients and Partners, 

We inform you about the explanation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia 
on the issue of issuing highly qualified specialists (HQS) from among foreign citizens of several work permits at the same time. 

The department indicated that if such an employee plans to change jobs in the near future, he does not need to wait for dismissal at his current place of work in order to obtain a work permit from the future employer. 

The current migration legislation allows the HQS with valid work permits to simultaneously have two or more such permits, including when changing employers. 

At the same time, the requirements for each of the employers to submit to the territorial body of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia notifications of the conclusion (termination) of an employment (civil) contract with the HQS, as well as notifications of the fulfillment of obligations to pay salary (remuneration) in the amount established by the current legislation, remain.
